Project Results

Project Outputs of the NEWSARCADE_CLASSROOM project:

Enhance the NewsArcade Toolkit and Educational Formats through improving the crating flow, gamified elements, and feedback mechanisms and development of new interactive learning experiences incorporating quizzes, challenges, and narrative-driven activities to maximize educational impact.

Empower Educators in Media Literacy Instruction through providing professional development, curriculum resources, and instructional guidance to help educators integrate gamified news storytelling into their teaching. The project will embed relevant teaching materials directly within the NewsArcade tool to ensure seamless adoption and effective classroom use.

Promote Critical Thinking and Media Analysis Skills by equipping students (ages 12-25) with tools to critically analyze news content, identify biases, evaluate credibility, and deconstruct media narratives as well as strengthen their ability to recognize propaganda techniques and understand the socio-political contexts shaping media discourse.

Foster Peer-Led Collaborative Learning through creating opportunities for students to engage in discussions, share perspectives, and co-create media literacy experiences. We aim to support youth-led initiatives that build a community of media-literate peers and encourage active participation in media discourse.

Strengthen Partnerships with News Media and Content Creators through collaborating with educational institutions, media organizations and journalists to integrate authentic news content into gamified learning experiences. We aim to promote journalistic integrity, responsible media consumption, and transparency by incorporating editorial insights, journalistic tips, and real-world reporting examples into NewsArcade learning pathways.
